I’m an aspiring fiction writer with experience in marketing writing, scientific copyediting, technical writing, and journalism. I pretend not to have two physics degrees.
Despite growing up near the science-fictional setting of Johnson Space Center, my favorite genre has always been fantasy. I now live in central Illinois, where I founded the Champaign-Urbana Writers Group, perform cooking experiments, and do excessive amounts of yard work.
In 2010 I was an editor for Flash Me Magazine. My flash story “The Demon’s Tomb” will appear in volume 2 of The Crimson Pact.
What I write
Most of my novels and short stories are fantasies set in secondary worlds. Several belong to a pseudo-colonial-America (in the same way many fantasies are pseudo-medieval Europe) or pseudo-America-with-no-Europeans, and recently I’ve been playing in some contemporary settings.
